Coming to today's match except Costa nobody looked like a professional footballer. ISL could have planned pre season earlier, but its okay with the pandemic can't ask for more. Kerala had fitter players but their attack was terrible, zero was the number of shots on target and Kibu's subs had very little impact. ATKMB have quality but looked totally out of shape. They just managed to score one on terrible defensive lapse.

I've been saying since the beginning that Sahal is the most overrated Indian player. Only has flair and zero end product.1 goal and 2 assists in 30+ appearances should warrant no hype at all.

Him being a keralite too adds to all this undeserved hype with all the passionate KBFC fanbase

Sahal hasnt improved since he first broke out. He is the same player from two years ago.

Sahal's end product has always been bad. He can carry the ball forward can be a tricky player but doesn't have the final delivery. Has pretty bad stats for an attacking midfielder.

This game is why you shouldn't have 6-7 months break between the seasons. Terrible football by everyone. Was like a school boy game. It will take another month for matches to be good and not eyesore.

ISL needs to rethink everything. They can't have teams play everyday for 3.5 months and go into hibernation for rest of the year. This isn't how football works. They will lose money like the last 6 seasons if they keep doing this. Football isn't cricket or kabbadi and should be treated differently.

The example should not be IPL at all. Copy EPL, La-Liga. But money hungry executives who hardly have any idea of football wouldn't want it.

I don't see ISL being successful with this model. We will see a lot of Delhi Dynamos, FCPC like situations.

This is not the first time. They have been running 3 1/2 month season since 2014.

Any news on Michael Soosairaj injury? Hope it's nothing serious.

Another drawback of a 4 month league is that injured players are missing the whole tournament. 3 month layoff is not much in global football.. You'll miss max 15 matches, here you'll miss the entire tournament and therefore the entire year.

Lobera is known to start with same line up throughout the season.. in the last pre season game, he played the following team
    Amrinder, Rakip, Santana, Golui, Vignesh
    Jahou, Borges, Raynier
    Le fondre, Ogbeche and Boumou

The frontline of mcfc looks scary.. Hope neufc will put up a decent show .  Vignesh was preferred instead of Mandar which was suprising.. Also Fall in the bench after heroics last season? Sad that Farukh, VP Singh , Bidya, Sourav Das etc are going to get nil or limited gametime. .

Good to see Sarthak starting. If he can impress, he can make the spot permanent, because given the quality of Mumbai forwards, Lobera will prefer 3 foreigners up top.
