@Ronny even before Chennaiyin had a change of form we were performing better. Creating chances and our forwards were great on counter. Rafael, Valaskis, Chhangte, Schembri are way better players than what Kerala have.
@Ronny: I respect your opinion and I look forward to your analyses of the games, but I beg to differ with you this time. Experience is necessary, but it cannot be the sole criterion for winning a match. A match is won when a team plays well on a particular day, and as far as I have seen, teams like NEUFC and Hyderabad FC have played pretty well in the initial matches. You have yourself said, that apart from the "experienced" teams, there will be "one team as a challenger". There is no reason why an NEUFC or a Hyderabad FC cannot be a "challenger", given their performances.
Besides, you have mentioned that "experienced" teams are likely to make the playoffs. Apart from the teams you mention, Chennaiyin, KBFC and, to a certain extent, NEUFC can also be called "experienced" teams because they have also made the playoffs in the past (Chennaiyin thrice, KBFC twice and NEUFC once as far as I remember). Given the fact that the players are a bit rusty (what with no pre-season and all that) and the league is only one week old, I think we should reserve our judgment a bit longer
Yes ofcourse guys I agree with you all. But going by the last few years you will agree that playoff fight will basically be between close to 6 teams as some others will fizzle out due to the quality of their players or lack of ISL experience. I do wish that it is more competitive than that. I'm also kind of excited to see what EB bring to the table!
i want ISL to be competitive like this years IPL. there was no clear semifinal spots until the last match. Actually this should be the case every season so that fans keep coming to the stadium despite losing on match.
