  • Insightful. I think in order to increase proper assists and go into scoring positions, Indian attacking players should individually spend time on analysing their own players. ex, which kind of pass is Valskys more likely to score goals from, who are your partners and which kind of balls are they comfortable with, do they have the speed to catch the ball if you just put it into vacant space or are they more comfortable with short passes, what kind of off-the-ball-movement is your striker adept at. Studying your compatriots will help you gel well with him as well as improve your reading of the game. I think hardly any Indian players do that.
Yes, probably they have analysts amongst the coaching staff who can provide you inputs, but think that they need to do it for the entire team and probably will give you lesser time than the most important members of the team.
This is certainly lacking (that's why we say tactical sense of the game is where our Indians lack knowledge of) and the more aware they are of their compatriots the better footballers they will be.

Till last week, there were only 3 goals from 2017 World Cup batch (or anyone from that age-group) - Komal Thatal, Rahul KP, Aniket Jadhav.

Last one week (Sun-Sun), there were 4 goals - Rahul, Aniket, Rahim & Jeakson.

Keep an eye on players born on 1999-2002.
Our next youth tournament is U23 qualifier in Oct 2021. A good number of them are playing ISL this season.

It's basically the 2017 world cup batch, 2018 Bibiano batch and 1999 borns like Princeton, Deepak Tangri, Asish Rai, Edmund,... and others who missed out from those tournaments like Narender, Sumit Rathi, Akash Mishra, Rohit Danu,...

Hearing that the management was ready to make all arrangements for Coach Kibu to return home for his mom's last rites. Coach reportedly refused and decided to remain with the team in Goa. Nothing but Respect and Support to the Coach.

In September 2022, Asian Games will be there.

U-23 squad can get a good exposure if India participate there.

  • Knowing IOC , they may not allow football participation in Asian Games. Last time also they did the same thing even though AIFF said they are going to provide the cost.

Yes no participation in Asian Games, no participation in SAF games.

Reliance do not want it ? Exclusive deal ?

World cup / Asian cup qualifier they cannot say no.
But other then that AIFF is reluctant to even organise an International friendly game in India.

    Jamshedpur are impressive tbh .

Jamshedpur look better than Goa. Their lesser known Indian players are very good. Even the likes of Amarjit,Narender etc can't find a way into playing 11
