What sort of playing styles can we expect from the teams?
I know that Maziya are a very safety first sort of side. A Mourinho-esque team that is very good at stifling spaces and suffocating the opposition, at the cost of playing scintillating football.
Bashundhara Kings seems to be very top heavy, with their defense not really getting tested in the league. They are extremely dependent on their foreign players to hold the team together on the pitch. I'm curious to see how they hold up against much better opposition.
I was expecting ATK Mohun Bagan to finish at the top before Jhingan left. Now, I'm not sure, it might be a toss up as only 3 games per team. I guess the team with the most luck will top the group
Bagan had 32% ball possession, despite such strong team. This defensive strategy works only against mid table sides where u have only Plan A in place to score in counter attack, and with no Plan B! Why make such strong side/pay so much as transfer fee, if u just rely on counter attack?
Against a good side (MCFC) they lost both matches.
