@souravindia Only last 4 seasons are counted. 2020 was 0 for all MAs. In 2019, Dhaka Abahani won the group. India always had 2 teams and the average points were taken. It's because of Chennaiyin, Minerva & Aizawl's performance from early years and Bengaluru's this year that we are down. Only Bengaluru in 2018 and Mohun Bagan this time topped the group in this 4-year cycle, but BFC got knocked out the very next round.
Strange why is average taken. If 2 clubs are in a group only 1 can advance, so how is BFC s performance bad in this group. Also BK qualified only once haven't they. Strange points system. This means more club representation from a country is bad, that's ridiculous.
This is bound to happen when we cannot defeat Bangladesh , Maldives & Nepal clubs.
Though ATK MB advanced to next group, they have struggled against B.Kings who played with 10 men for 45 mins and couldn't able to win the match. BFC performance is not bad (4 points from 3 games), but they are not good either.
Luckily 2020 AFC cup is scrapped, else we would have been in much more worst position as BFC couldn't able to cross the play-offs and I don't have high hopes on either Chennai City.
In 2019, Minerva Punjab let us know down. They played 6 games & couldn't able to win atleast 1 game and have 5 points after 6 games. In 2018, Aizawl has finished last in group ( 4 points from 6 games).
But we still have chance to finish in top 10 position if ATK MB wins next 2 matches & Tajikistan loses next match. India MA points if we win next 2 matches : 0.5 + 1.67 + 0.5 + 1.67 + 0.5 = 4.84 ( 4.84 + 21.84 = 26.68 )
Tajikistan will have 24.83 ( 23.33 + 1.5 ) even if they loses their knock-out match against Persepolis
Bangladesh MA points will be same (21.87) as they don't have any other matches.
