Persepolis is at a different level altogether. We probably have improved than what we were, but watching them shows we are still way behind in terms of technique. The speed with which they pass and run finding their target is something to watch. Going to be the most difficult game for goa
But honestly people are too hard on Pandita. What were you expecting him to do? He is a target man with limited experience who only was a sub last season in the league which really was his first senior season in football. If he doesn't make any progress in other parts of the game in 2-3 years, we can all be critical of him. But if you were expecting him to play like prime Ronaldo, your expectations of him are misplaced to start with.
Give the kid time, let's see if he learns before we criticize him. For a poacher, he works pretty hard and keeps his game simple. Wouldn't you rather this guy improve other parts of his game rather than give the likes of Robin, Passi etc who play a similar role?
Persepolis are way ahead. but Juan gets a chance to prepare against them. We are facing them twice in 20th and 23rd. So it kinda gives boys to prepare only keeping this team in mind. We can do our best.
Also these two games decide the moral of the team. Anything positive in this two game will give us momentum. Or a demolition could batter our confidence for the rest of the games. We will have to wait and see what Juan has at store. His substitutions were good today. He had a good plan so far.
Al Rayyan looks out of breath against Persepolis. Instills fear the way they are playing. If Goa are able to draw either of the 2 matches against them, its going to be the greatest result in current football history for India. Looks unlikely if they play like this

I'm aware they are top notch... They simply cannot be Runners-up twice in last 3 years ( 2018 & 2020 AFC Champions league).
Hope FC Goa coach have a plan for them as well. Even stealing a point would be awesome against Persepolis
