They can show their fans that they can perform outside the cocoon of ISL.

Performance of BFC and Chennaiyin was very bad  in AFC Cups of 2020, 2019, 2018.

ISL Franchises lost 10 times against I-League clubs in 2 Super cups.

Good performance from all the teams is necessary for maintaining the MA ranking of India. With BFC final run points going out of consideration (possibly BFC's 2017 Inter-zonal final too), a bad performance by all 3 teams will result in India losing the direct GS slot in 2023 & 2024 ACL.

When our teams play in Afc champions league, ofcourse we will have to play top class teams. Our teams will be defeated. But it is a golden chance for us. What I said is that we fans have to be somewhat positive. Even if we get hammered by one or two teams, what if we could get a draw against the 3rd team. This our first Champions league experience. We will improve from here onwards.

I would have been a little bit more optimistic about Indian clubs if we were in East Zone.. West Zone is a different class altogether..

Only positive is Al Rayyan SC is not in top form this season.

FC Goa group has strong teams. Even accumulating 2 points would be an achievement for FC Goa
