Sumith Rathi, Deepak Tangri and now Gill. More players for Habas to bench and never play. This right here is one of the reasons why we have a dearth of quality Indian CBs. They get picked up by teams for bench.
We have to blame players as well. Players have to chose clubs wisely instead of chasing money.
Sumith Rathi is rated highly by coach. He will get more chances this season considering only 4 foreigners in XI. Also not much competition from Indian C.B as Sandesh left. Sumith can play as Full Back as well.
Deepak Tangri natural position is defensive midfield. Though he played couple of games in C.B , coach may use him in midfield.
Not sure if Gill is going to get any chances this season or not.
Gill has wasted his career already by signing for BFC and ATK. He should look for a release and get some game time in iLeague. Tbh, if I were an iLeague coach I wont take most of these players, they have barely played football in last 2 years.
NorthEast United set to sign Australian defender Patrick Flottmann
The centre-back has represented Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar in the A-League.
NorthEast United are all set to complete the signing of Australian defender Patrick Flottmann, Khel Now can confirm. The Highlanders first signed South Korean defender Ahn Byung-keon, but couldn’t register him due to some issues. They have now gone forward with the 24-year-old Aussie. Flottmann will become the final foreign addition to the Highlanders’ squad for Indian Super League 2021-22 season.
Chennai city will announce a couple of signings pretty soon in a week. Their loan signing from Basel didn't go well. So not sure how they will do it this season.
FC Goa set to sign Anwar Ali in 18 months loan deal from Delhi FC
Indian Super League (ISL) outfit FC Goa are close to completing the signing of defender Anwar Ali, Khel Now can confirm. The Delhi FC youngster will join the Gaurs in January 2022, after putting pen to paper on an 18 months loan deal from his parent club.
“Anwar Ali will join FC Goa. However, he will have to wait till January 2022 to move, as the transfer window is currently shut. Delhi FC and the Gaurs have agreed terms on an 18-month loan deal. He will hence remain with Juan Ferrando and co till the end of the 2022-23 season,” sources close to the developments informed Khel Now.
We also understand that FC Goa will have the first chance to match the best bid from any other club who are looking to sign the 21-year-old, following the end of his stint with them.

We need to appreciate his grit & determination as he haven't stopped playing, even played in Himachal state league. Thanks to Ranjit Bajaj as well.
