Chinese Referee won the match for UAE by giving wrong penalty and ending the match 3 minutes early in the end denying India to level the score in the last minutes.
Guys, it's not the worst result. UAE, playing in their home conditions were always the favourite team.
Going in the last match, our destiny is in our hands i.e if we win(specially by a 2 goal margin) then most probably we can have a genuine chance of qualification either as a first team or will put us in the run in for the second placed teams as well. At the start of the tournament, everybody would have taken this situation. That is why I said that we shouldn't have conceeded that goal in the first match.
Moreover, the reason in my opinion(most probably but not 100% sure) as to why Vps and Apuia were substituted was perhaps they both were on yellow cards(a red card for them, could have been disastrous for the team both in this match and from the tournament point of view).
Another major issue which I have noticed in our team(s) both in this match and the previous match as well is that:- When an opponent high presses us, and if we manage to counter it by passing out from back to our midfielders(it means that we have atleast made opponent's 3-4 players irrelevant), our midfielders immediately again pass back to our defence( trying to show that we have maintained the possession, which ultimately brings those 3-4 players again in the game, which not only destroys our chance to counter attack but also makes the passing from back more difficult because now there will be more players from the opponent team near our goal, this is where we gave the ball away against UAE today and in the past as well against other teams as well). If you have made opponent's 3-4 players irrelevant, then you should attack and not pass back. This is a major issue and in my opinion is the basic of football and I am astonished that no one in the coaching staff has told them.
Suresh, Jeakson do it for sure and even Apuia( as much as I like him) does it as well. I can make sense, if you are leading by a couple of goals with 5 or less minutes remaining but not otherwise.
One more thing guys, will both the matches on the final day will be played simultaneously or is our match after the first match?
Because of our match is after the first match, then ideally we can't complain because we will be knowing as to what exactly we are supposed to do in terms of getting the result.
@Bad: The first match between UAE and Oman is at 6:20 p.m while India takes on Kyrgyz Republic at 10:00 p.m. So, India would be in a position to know what it needs to do to get a favourable result

So, this is the most ideal position for us. Great chance to create history as our destiny will be in our hands completely(as we would be knowing as to what exactly are we looking for in terms of getting number of goals).

so that's a poor planning by AFC. even a event like world cup has same kickoff time in last group game. although it is a favour to india.
I gave the rules earlier. If uae wins , they will go through if India also win. Then we have to look up to top 4 second place teams. As head to head uae defeated us
I Agree to @Bad. Too much of back passing cost us the UAE match. This simple things matters and why is the coach for, if he cannot pass basic information to the team. Always somebody or other gives the penalty. This has been the trend for ages and whether you like it or not we have to live with it.
