Clearly this football club was ill conceived and should cease its operations. Did the owners think where would they play home matches in iLeague? What did they show in the licensing papers? Why was approval given by AIFF? Only merit cannot be all end all! Financial and geographical viability is super important for a football club.
At least it is not a top down club like ISL franchisees. Someone risked their money and efforts to set the club in an area which they may call their own. In other words, there is a lot of love and feeling behind the club. It will struggle initially, but find its feet sooner or later.
Private Universities in Jaipur have ground. All they need is some construction of changing roms / press box etc to satisfy I-League criteria.
SMS Stadium Jaipur znd Baraktullah Stadium Jodhpur are cricket venues. Jaipur might get to host T20 match znd Jodhpur a Ranji Trophy game. There is a Cricket pitch bang in the middle. Cricket Association is the local tenant Local clubs of Cricket regularly play cricket at these venues.
Rajasthan United is better off spending money on building facilities at some university ground

They can shift base to Bengal and call themselves HowrahJaipur FC. We have plenty of football stadiums which can make their homeground, Howrah Stadium, Kishor Bharati Stadium, Barasat Stadium, Naihati Stadium, Kalyani Stadium or even become SiliguriBikaner FC and play from Kanchenjunga stadium. Huge marwari community in Siliguri to draw support from.
Rajasthan United has been signing players on a 3 year contract. Good to see that they are focussing on future. Will be able to earn from player transfer if any of their player break out.
