Yeah Only if Rajasthan United find a stadium to play I league
They will be playing from Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi, its official. Apparently playing your home matches at 2 pm in a different state is the way you grow a fanatically loyal fan following! Unless they get a corporate takeover, I expect RUFC to fold up post this season.
Rajasthan United to play next I-League season in Jaipur
From the 2023-24 edition of the I-League, Rajasthan-based outfit Rajasthan United will be playing their home games in the Vidya Dhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur. A Rajasthan United official informed Khel Now, “This is just proposed and we are currently working on it with the state government. The tender will be released soon.”
The government of Rajasthan has allocated 10 crores INR for the refurbishment of the Vidya Dhar Nagar Stadium. For the betterment of not only football but also hockey, this step has been taken by the government. The stadium, after the refurbishment will comprise of an astro turf, flood lights, dressing rooms and seating chairs. The money above has been allotted to this purpose.
I don't know why the investors attack the club name at the very first. The club could have remained RUFC. The new name is so lame!
If they are aiming for ISL, they should know that ISL do not allow sponsor name prefixed on club name. So even if the qualify, they will have to change the name again.
Instead, they should focus on stadium, fans, and the like.
