@Ronny the usual way they always do. Stephen was not consulted at all in the earlier signings. Cleiton, Lima, Ivan and Eliandro were all signed well before he came in. Kyriakou, Doherty, Jake Jervis are his signings. To be frank I don't the signings with his consultations are not great either.

I think EB lacks the budget and vision to compete. It might be weird to find a team like EB historically with budgets now find themselves no where closer to ATK MB, MCFC, Bengaluru, KBFC, FC Goa, Jamshedpur. They are probably on par with NEUFC, Chennaiyin, Hyd FC, Odisha probably in terms of budget.

Issue with EB is they are still a clubs which is 20 years behind. They have issues with every sponsor Sree cements, Quess etc and no professional scouting or signing players.

Also most players don't want to play for them for one reason or other. They thought they'd sign players just because they are EB but in last 2 season got massive blows and reality check when players kept rejecting them.

They've massively overpaid for players like VP Suhair etc for same reason. And even the signings made by Stephen Constantine like Passi etc aren't great.

They need to go Hyderabad, Goa route of competing in ISL but it a more professional way. I don't see them improving any bit in ISL at all with way things happen now

EB, MB and MSC are reflections of modern Bengali society. A culture of corruption, freebies and lack of ambition. As public institutions they cant escape the fate of the larger issues affecting the state. Nothing will change/improve unless Bengal changes for the better and stops voting for TMC.

True can’t believe that 100 years ago Bengal was the most influential region in India and Kolkata was capital of British India. Things have gone downhill since then
