To play in the top European leagues where the best players in the world play, that's the dream of every budding footballer. Mohammed Salim is believed to be the first Indian to have taken that route when he made the journey to join Scottish giants Celtic FC way back in 1930s. Many followed him, sometimes initially on trials, but only a few have managed to earn a professional contract, like Baichung Bhutia, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Bala Devi and Sunil Chhetri to name a few.

Dangmei Grace made her official debut for Sevinch in 2-1 win against championship rivals Sogdiyona. Next match on 9th August.

Dangmei Grace scored her first goal in Uzbek league today in a 5-0 win over Qizilqum. She started the match today also.

Sevinch still leads the league with 35 points in 13 games. Bunyodkar (34 pts) and Sogdiyona (32 pts) are close behind with just 5 matches remaining in current stage.

Manisha came in as a sub again, at least she now has 2 UCL appearances. This is the biggest achievement in Indian football since the Bronze medal at 1970 Bangkok Asian Games.
