Josep Gombau's Odisha FC continues to impress. Nanda Kumar scored a last moment goal to help his side beat Chennaiyin 3-2
Nasser El Khayati might turn out to be an underrated but hugely inspirational signing...4 goals and 1 assist in 4 matches (that too in the starting eleven not even once and not even playing for a total of 150 mins.)!!
I also stated the same thing at the beginning of the tournament that El Khayati could turn out to be the best signing of this season. Seems like he's living upto the expectation.
Due to FIFA World Cup, I couldn't able to watch ISL/I League games. BFC form is also not helping me
Hope Nanda Kumar stay with Odisha for 2 more seasons instead of chasing money and improve his speed as he is too slow for international football. Despite his lack of height (5.8), he will be handful in one-on-one challenges for National team as he is well built. Interesting stat, in his last 42 games for Odisha, he scored only 1 goal and 3 goals in his last 4 games and all 3 are superb goals.
I watched his games closely this season and he's shown great pace and trickery.. The way he cuts in and shoots is even better than what Soosairaj was doing a few seasons ago..at current form he is a better player than Manvir and Pandita for NT
After his breakthrough season with Shillong Lajong a few years back, Naorem Mahesh seems to have finally found his métier this season at East Bengal. Three assists today and his understanding with Cleiton Silva seemed to be telepathic. Hope he can continue with this form
The top scorer--Cleiton and the (joint) highest assist provider-Mahesh are both now from East Bengal, a team that lies at the eighth position. How ironic!
His understanding with Suhair and Clieton is amazing. Hope to see him deliver more consistent performance this season. He is using his pace and intelligent pass well in consti's counter attacking system. But generally he does lose the ball quite a bit with the possession.
