Not sure about this new coach. But I think Fabio Ferreira has been a hit and miss he has been the sporting director for the last 5 seasons. He should do more, he is only in his early 30 with no admin experience. Firing a coach over 3 pre season games seems like a bad environment to me. He has squandered a lot of signing as well. Hope he gets them to top division. They have the finances, infrastructure and backing to stay and play.
Brother, goalkeepar didn't gave or know complete details. They sacked him bcoz there are some issues b/w management & coach and it's not due to pre-season performance . They had a good pre-season & issue might be different which I didn't even know. We need to ask someone like @ashindia or @mohammed_87hassan who will have 1st hand information & they used to attend Sreenidhi Deccan I-League matches as well.

He probably wanted a Portuguese coach, so firing the Spanish coach in name of poor performance in preseason was a excuse.
Several coaches names were doing the rounds as the potential East Bengal coach--Antonio Habas, Sanjoy Sen, Juan Ferrando, Simon Grayson, Ivan Vukomanovic. Vukomanovic however is currently not in the fray because of visa problems. Two new additions to these names are Albert Roca and Bashundhara Kings' coach Oscar Bruzon.
Uttar Banga Sambad has reported that Roca is now the top contender and he has agreed to accept the offer.
It seems that the situation has changed somewhat...Oscar Bruzon is reportedly in prime position to take over as head coach of East Bengal. His financial demands are also lesser than Roca's; more clarity expected in the next 2-3 days.
