there will be friendlies against the teams from other groups who arrive early to go..expecting atleast 2 quality friendlies..hope we get one out of South Korea, Japan,Australia,Uzbeks,North Korea istead of Yemen,Thailand,Vietnam,Kyrgystan etc
The lads seems to have improved since the aiff youth cup. The draws against FC Koln and Fortuna Dusseldorf U17s are quite impressive.
In the last match the guys managed to secure a 3-0 lead against Duisburg U17 whose average squad age was 16.4 years before the match was called off in the 60th min on account of injury to our defender. To put in perspective of the scoreline significance, Duisburg was beaten 3-1 in the second round of Bundesliga U17 by Schalke 04 who are currently in 2nd position in the western zone which is could be considered as the strongest zone. I wonder how Nicolai failed to arrange a match with mighty Dortmund which is in the same zone were our team is based.
As there is still time i wish aiff could arrange a few friendlies or send the squad to some tournaments to maintain the momentum.
