That might be so, but there is no substitute for physical attributes such as speed, and Boris is fast. Clubs look at such attributes when bringing in younger players especially as defending is an area that can be developed.
so what exactly happens to these players after WC? they get any domestic teams or contract in europe?? or AIFF will send some team like China in 3rd tier??
Would rather prefer these boys tp play even in the u-18 or reserves of a 2nd or 3rd tier team in Europe rather than make them play in India.
The coaching and the tactical awareness matters as much as the technique that these boys seem to have after the last 2 years.
Them playing in Indian leagues would kill another batch of promising youth as wasted.
There is absolutely no tactical or mentality awareness in Indian Coaching. Look at the way youngsters are being groomed In India, Substituted at 5 mins and all look at the current u-23 team, except a couple players rest are all poor not due to their fault but there has been no proper coaching at the youth levels in the clubs.
Bottomline stay away from India esp away from those clubs which promise grass root development only to get a random African or Brazilian at key positions.
