'I think the boys gave a good account of themselves and there is no need to delve in the past. We should look at the future now'
no doubt about it fully agreed

'And what next after this batch? Is the next u-16 batch going to be overlooked like before or is the academy structure going to materializeRegional residential academies of AIFF with u-14, u- 16, u-18 squads is the need of the hour. I am sure after the hype created by u17 WC there must be some sponsors lining up at AIFF door. Let them sponsor these academies.'

i dont know why do you wanna walk on similar plan which we already walked on . we all know how at the beginning of world cup tems' plan there were 4 regional academies and 3 of them faded away just in 1 year of time and fifa was funding aiff for that plan to woprk on it was a totally fail at that time how will it work now . neeta aunty is not gonna pay you to run 4 regional academies am sure of that and if we walk on that regional academy plan again we will have a very small pool of players as it was during the preparations of world cup . i hope for a proper league structure nationwide all youth teams otherwisw we will again be in same condition . the only reason for this team to perform good at the level of world cup was exposure against goras abroad and also because they were playing for a long time (i.e 3-4 years) thats a long time . its better to have leagues to select players for indian team and then send them to exposures , one regional academy will only shorten the pool of players  .

'I have no trust in clubs except a select few who will do grassroots development programs in their club. AIFF needs to be aggressive here'

well i dont trust the aiff pricks who couldnt provide a system to the indian football . before now we qualified for asian cup in 2002 , this aiff could not even bring forward 11 men out of 1.2 billion country people . they only care about making money , i hope to see a footballer himself being made a aiff president atleast that man have some place for nation's football team in his heart alongside money

'I am just hoping this WC proves to be a catalyst for youth development. Fingers crossed.'

there have been incidents before like qualifying fro asian cup . isnt that enogh to work as a catalyst , cause one only wants to go up rather than falling down of a stair's steps . but there can be no hope until these pricks are in aiff
though as a football fan i always have hope for indian football to go up in the steps  . though this world cup is the biggest thing ever happened in indian football and this time even football organisations of all world might have eyes on the system which aiff will develop and future indian football teams so may be something good might happen

I think we are underestimate ourselves over the years. We gave lots of excuses of Infrastructure and blah blah. The point is we never take football seriously. Football is a game is not a rocket science which need lots of research.

Japan start playing football after we started, But look where they are now and where we are. Infrastructure is not a Issue. Most of the African country play football at clay ground yet they are much much ahead then us.

so what are the issue that ceases us to growth as a footballing nation.

    1) One of the major reason is Coach education, The guys gives coaching at the local clubs, Doesn't have knowledge about the game. Its like you asking a blind person for the directions. Game sense is important in football then the skill, likes how to read the opponent, Of the ball positioning, passing, and how to build up attack at midfield etc.

    2) Quality of Referee, If referee don't judge the game properly then it is obvious, It will damage your game.

    3)  Non availability of Youth leagues( U-12, U-16, U-19).

    4) Coaching should be started at the age of 5-6. Where we started at 10-11. We started 5 years later than the other part of the world that means we lacks 5 years of experience.

    5) Unsettled national League.50-60 years have gone yet we struggling with our national league.
National League should be a 8 months affair with at least 15 teams in it.

    6) Clubs less interest in Youth development.

    7) F--king Federation doing nothing for the youth leagues and National League.

We need to implement youth leagues as early as possible along with the coach education at the youth level. unless world cup will remain a dream only.

So N Caledonia managed a draw against Japan and that result put us in the bottom position. Now the group matches are over , from the performances so far  England is the clear favourite to win the championship., France comes next and  may be African teams like Ghana and Mali will  give surprises in the final stages. Brasil and Germany other two in the front line.

Kolkata's average attendance per match is 50,316. "Kolkata, the mecca of Indian football" called for a reason.
