All this can't happen in India at the sametime... players quality improvement, academies is priority no. 1
No one gonna watch 13 i league games, in those seats, missing office/date/appointments to see player shooting straight to goalie from 10 yards, over the box in all long ranger, passing to the opponents all the time, ball slipping from goalies hands, etc etc......
Well I did not say for it to happen all at once. I am guessing we will again do an MLS here and wait till Academies are up and better quality foreigners are in before we focus on stadiums or Football Only Stadiums.
Academies can be done. Again look at Pune FC Academy. Sure they wont be super stars and most of them are NE players but at least they are learning in a professional environment.
so here we are expecting the i-league to be a mere 3-state affair in coming season with exception of shillong lajong and hopefully some other team
now i seriously wonder how on earth can air india , mumbai fc and ongc could search and end up with talents which(scouting) is not done by the clubs from NE which is expected to be having loads of talents..who are good enough to promote them to top division and afloat them in top division at least
may be this is the outcome of some serious state league present in top cities like goa, kolkatta and mumbai which is missed over there.
Good point, glad to know that I am the only one who thought this. We all know that ONGC don't care about football, don't market themselves, have a crap team and yada yada. We also know that USFC and RWFC are the future of football and they have great infrastructure and professional management and allegedly good academies to scout good players from local areas. Yet when these two teams meet the crap team with no interest in football seem to defeat the other ones. Why?
Bengal and Bagan get 20,000 in a 120,000 seater per game (cept for Derbys). If they are the only 2 teams and they market themselves properly they can easily get 40,000 a game. Plus I would like them to move to a different stadium smaller than Salt Lake. The atmosphere at the Salt Lake is shit. I watch the matches and you hear the crowd but that is because the camara is on the side the fans are. The stadium looks empty and trust me... 20,000 fans in a 25,000 seater sounds and looks better than 20,000 in a 120,000 seater.
Here is an example. My New York Red Bulls from 1996-2009 play in a 80,000 seater and now play in a 25,000 seater.
The place looks packed! Of course I dont expect that kind of stadium from Bagan and Bengal but at least make it 20,000 seats. Make there games look good on TV and LIVE.
This is the reason why i am happy with a 5000 seater cooperage because i dont see them even getting 5k fan base in first comback season so to try make the team play in a 15k or more seater would be a unwanted blunder for the viewing and environment in stadium which could eventually affect the TV viewing and i seriously wish both MB and EB get rid of YBK...because these stadiums with tracks in between are not at all worth a good view for fans

Thats a fact..smaller stadium fully of 10-15 K are what is required for Indian football TV..its no point having 5K crowed filled in a 80K stadium...

At max they can choose to play in another stadium. Rabindra Saravar can be an option once the artifical turf is laid out..

Here is the crowd in the 80,000 seater...

Its looks like a small crowd but really they averaged 20,000 a game and that is what the crowd looked like. Then they move to the 25,000 seater and BAM...
