Eh, I am fine with Royal losing 3 points as we are still 4 games into the season. I still hate ONGC and hope they go out of business. Such a shit company who could care less for football (other than results which according to some people here is more important than actually marketing which would result in more fans which would result in more money but what do I know?).
Anyway I would have preferred suspensions but looks like that coach and the referees (the culprits) will leave free. Seriously. Chapman is a shit coach and should be fired from Royal if they fail to make the 2nd Division. Also Aizawl at this moment seem to be the most deserving team to be in I-League. Of course though there are other, all care for results teams, in there way.
I want United Sikkim and any other club that performs well to get promoted. For all the talk about Royal's professionalism, this incident clearly shows they are not as professional as we are made to believe they are. There was also complaint from Aryan against them in first round. I just don;t want teams to be thrown up into the big stage when they are not ready and then fall into financial problems.

I do see where you are going.
In fact I too must admit that I may have overestimated Royal mainly for the fact that they are based in Shillong, guaranteed a crowd of around 25,000 every game (maybe more), they had a website, they have a facebook and just got trapped in the hype from the Federation Cup.
Anyway I do believe that Royal Wahingdoh FC should be promoted based on the ownership group, they have a great ownership group but I think where the professionalism lacked was with the coaching staff. They should have known and also the referees should have known. That is why I rather suspensions rather than the deduction of 3 points. It was only for 3 minutes, and it was the coach and referee who fucked up. Only would make it fair.
BTW Sengupta, in that case how would you feel if ONGC made the league?
I prefer not to think about that right now :P..anyway if they do qualify I hope they make changes to comply with AFC criteria. ONGC, unlike Air India, is not a struggling company.
If Md Sporting qualifies that will be good for Bengal. Thanks to their financial constraint they field more local players than EB and MB. They have the largest supporter base in the country which is not restricted to any province. But, they have shits in management.
But, we can still count on RW. They are performing well. I am sure they will recover. At least three teams from N-E will be good for Indian football provided they maintain focus on their local talents and dont get in to race with other clubs to bring in Odafe or Ranti Martin.
