There is also a rumor that Venkeys tried the change the name from Venkeys Rovers FC or something like that which is the norm for sports names in India.</div><div><br></div>
There have been loads of rumour's like that like renaming the stadium etc. So are owners of Indian football clubs pretty bad in general ? Not had time to read through the Indian club threads yet.<div><br></div><div><br></div>

Rather there are Indian clubs that r run solely because the owners are football lovers. Clubs like Dempo SC and Salgaocar are owned by business families. Each year they spend INR 130 million w/o any return. Just for the passion. Venkys wanted to sell chicken in UK
