why are the foreigners not playing in these matches?
i think those players were rested and in these pre-season friendlies clubs try different combinations and they tend to give equal game time to all their players. I think that's why foreigners were not included in yesterdays match
East bengal fc continues its winning streak as they beat TATA football academy in the 2nd successive practice match at jamshedpur.

Aren't EB overdoing themselves. Playing so many practice matches in such a short time might take a toll on players' fitness..
40 matches/player will help their cause.Also they have a very strong bench squad which is quite capable of finishing in top 6 of I-League if played as a separate team. <!-- s:handgestures-salute: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/handgestures/salute.gif" alt=":handgestures-salute:" title="Salute" /><!-- s:handgestures-salute: -->

i dont think so, that we are overdoing our pre-season. If you look into our squad, you will see its a big and quality squad. So, you have to give them game time to show what they are capable of. And trevor morgan himself said,"the more players play, the better they get" and as you know the best practice is match practice. Team is slowly getting into the groove and steadily getting back their full fitness. And one more info for you guys, raju, robert, mehtab, subodh and milan has come back from the national camp. Club has given them rest till this weakend. They ll start practicing from monday.
In todays practice match eastbengal vs southern samity match ended in a 1-1 draw. In heavy rainy day both teams showed good fighting spirit. The match was played at SAI, saltlake at 9:30 in the morning.
east bengal's new foreign signing scottish alan gow scored from a brilliant free kick. While tolgay's former striking partner in sydney fc ausie mathew mayora scored the southern goal.
