Sony partners ESPN to launch 2 sports channels

The two channels SONY ESPN and SONY ESPN HD will go live on January 17

Ten Sports Network will be bought by Sony Pictures.. Deal to be finalized within the first week of the next month. So we will have only 2 major players. Star and Sony.

Sony is growing rapidly. With ESPN under its banner and now Ten sports. Star is no longer the defacto transmitter. 
I am just curious how will sony respond to Stars - EPL, ISL, Kabbadi, India NT matches, etc. with just IPL.
