Eurosport is that horrible channel DSport.

They have changed the name.

They had a long court battle with 1Sport. Probably 1Sport lost in Delhi High Court, so they are shutting down.

I-League fans will remember that it was a nightmare to watch I-League on Dsports. Russian artificial intelligence experts who faced Technical problems, suddenly broadcast showing French Ligue games, No broadcast on facebook.

And AIFF has given NT matches and in future I-League to Eurosport shows their crooked mindset - nothing else. Worst sports channel ever.

What I read is that Lex Sportel used to provide content for DSports, channel owned by Discovery. Lex Sportel then decided to start their own channel 1Sports and took away all the rights of leagues. Discovery renamed their channel to Eurosport and acquired rights of some international leagues.

I don't think the AI problem will happen this time. The previous production company was at fault. The feed for the friendlies will be provided by UAE based production company. The feed in Eurosport will be same as Oman TV & BeIN Sports. I just pray that the commentary is bearable.

I am more worried about I-League broadcast in future.

1Sport made it easy on various platforms including Facebook.

DSports / Eurosport are difficult to get online & Technical issues will crop in

It is because of them that we were vouchsafed the vision of Neymar and Mbappe playing in the I-league for the first time

Eurosport was not the problem, it was Instat (hired by AIFF for handling the production of I-league matches) who handled the telecast, additionally there was a tussle between Lex Sportel (who actually handled operations of DSport) and Discovery over ownership of DSport, eventually Discovery killed their partnership Lex and rebranded it to Eurosport. it currently has rights for MLS, MotoGP, Eredivisie, UFC.

It's the Old Dsport which is now 1Sports. Lex sportel used to uplink the Dsport from Hong Kong and it was downlinked using licence owned by Discovery. Then Discovery decided to takeover channel from Lex Sportel. It was challenged by Lex Sportel. Then court ordered in favour discovery. So Lex Sportel started 1Sports with content of Dsport which was owned by Lex Sportel. Discovery then rebranded Dsport to Eurosport as they own the Eurosport network in Europe. 

So the Old Dsport which used to broadcast I-League is now 1Sports.
