Surprising that a team which does not exist from January to July would keep a coach contracted till May or June. Lovely job.... Morgan.......no work only payment (though I doubt).......good story !!
I remember some Club accused Ashley Westood of racial abuse in one of the I-League matches......AIFF investigated.....found nothing. Now should that club be pushed for a few matches as well ?
We strongly feel few things need to be sorted out before today's event.
Q: Is today's movement directed against club?
A: No and no. Like millions of you, we hold the club dearest to our lives. This club runs into our vein, it forms core of our very existence, this club represents every thing that we stand for. So we would rather die before we do things that hurts the image of club.
Q: Then why do we plan the walk out?
A: For last 13 years, the premier trophy of the nation remains elusive. It hurts us. It hurts badly. Yes, success is never guaranteed. But what hurts us most is the repeated mistakes of our players, over the years. Every year seems to be the repetition of last year. Season starts with boom but ends with gloom and doom. And the worst is, it seems a few players go nonchalant as if nothing has happened. So, East Bengal Ultras have decided to make a show of our deep-felt wound to let the players know.
Q: Can't we find a better way of protest?
A: We don't think ranting and cursing players and coaching staffs on social media is the only way to show our pain. We want a proper platform to display the pain which could directly reach to players.
Q: What's the plan for tomorrow?
A: We will enter the stadium together and leave it together at 13th minute of the match. Its a symbolic way to display our 13-year-old-long wound.
Q: Will we force other to leave the stands?
A: We don't believe to force issues onto others. We will definitely appeal to each and every one on the stands but leave the decision to themselves.
Q: Will we badmouth players?
A: We will raise slogan for sure but never do we raise a slogan that will contain personal, racial or vulgar elements. We don't endorse violence, be it verbal or physical.
