Latest twist to the Abinash Ruidas case
    http://xtratime.in/contract-controversy-new-drama-as-the-aiff-sends-new-letter-to-ifa-on-ruidas-case/

Kolkata: The parent body of Indian football, The AIFF  makes a dramatic move in the Abinas Ruidas controversy, as the Federation sends a legal letter to the IFA, claiming that they don’t need to decide the case of the talented winger from Budge Budge. In a mail sent by AIFF Secretary Kusal Das to IFA, it is written, “In the premises, you are hereby requested not to proceed any further with determining or adjudicating the disputed case of Abinas Ruidas, having far reaching consequences and forward all papers and documents forthwith to AIFF so as to enable the AIFF to adjudicate the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.” He also stated that, “Article 3 readwith Article 38 of the AIFF regulations directs that any dispute related to a player’s status and/or dispute between clubs and players shall be referred to the AIFF”

Though the parent body of Bengal football The IFA has officially stated their verdict today regarding the ongoing turmoil. The IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguli told the media, “As per token, Abinas is still an East Bengal footballer. But the player had other allegations that the signature has been duplicated by East Bengal and thus we have decided to forward the case to the IFA disciplinary committee.”

The Secretary also mentioned, “If the disciplinary committee gets the evidence that the player is guilty, we will take necessary steps against him. But if we find East Bengal to be the guilty, they will be punished accordingly.” At the same time the  has also stated, “Abinas’ token number is 3342 and that belongs to East Bengal but the case will be decided as per the decision of the disciplinary committee. But Abinas too will get a punishment as he was absent on both the occasions when IFA called him. He ignored and disrespected our invitation and will thus have to face its punishment.”

The IFA Secretary questioned, “I just got surprised to see how Mumbai City FC had told the AIFF to call a players status committee meeting to solve the case of Abinas. The could have filed a complaint but asking the parent body to do such was indeed astonishing.”
