@goalkeepar: Being an "insider" on Indian football, as you claim to be, you ought to know, that Goal, acting as "unofficial partner" of FSDL, in tandem with TOI, has been carrying out a sort of "propaganda" against EB and its chances of playing in the ISL for quite some time. Both the Goal and TOI reports are hedged with an element of uncertainty, in the first case with the use of words and phrases like "seems", "possibility" and "indication" and in the second case by the caveat by the EB official that there was no "official" meeting. Honestly, I would have taken this a bit more seriously if it was reported by some other media house (all other media reports have been lifted from these two reports). Anyway, we will very soon come to know whether East Bengal will be playing in the ISL or not after a formal declaration is made.

@goalkeepar: It is in Aunty's interest to induct East Bengal into ISL because by including clubs like EB and MB/ATK MB, she can refute the charges that the franchise tournament is not what we call it --a "circus". She can then claim that the inclusion of traditional clubs like East Bengal which have a strong fan-base and heritage in ISL is a step in the right direction. Since morning a particular news portal reported that East Bengal is not a part of Hero ISL 2020-21 as the organisers have decided to stick to 10 teams this season. Following this a handful of portals have also reported the same and it has created a environment of disappointment amongst the fans which is quite obvious if we look into it generally. We started receiving messages from different people wherein they wanted us to speak up about the current situation and then there were people who started criticising us and our post screenshots were shared in different groups where we were termed as “cheaters” and stuffs like these happened all day.
Let us clarify one thing to everyone of you, we are not a media house but a fan group of East Bengal Club. We the members of Lal Holud Aikya are also East Bengal fans and we have no intentions of misleading people with fake rumours and updates. Our main intention to start providing transfer updates and investor related updates was to stop people from being mislead by some so called “journalists” and their “media houses”. So we started to collect informations from our sources and share them to a large section of people through our Facebook page and Twitter handle so that we can share the most authentic news in the market with more people. We have been correct most of the times but that is not the end point for us as we believe there’s still a lot of things to be done till we reach our final destination.
Now coming to the report which created all the fuss around since morning.. If you go back to April you might remember that a famous sports journalist came up with a tweet ruling out East Bengal Clubs chances of participating in the ISL and a same kind of environment got created back then as well. Since then the club continued signing quality players and kept our hopes alive as things changed gradually. The next example is something which we are very aware of as it has happened in the recent past. Many portals started saying that Mr.Ajit Isaac would demand huge amount of money for transferring the football rights to the club. Did anything of that sort happen? No it did not!
Coming to the investor part now.. The club has not yet finalised the investors and haven’t even discussed their plan of footballing operations with FSDL yet. So how can FSDL talk about us with their channel partner and venue partner? The club has to announce the investor for all this to happen. If you are to believe us then we can say things are actually in the final stages with the investors and an announcement can be made by the end of this month or maybe by early next week. When this update comes from Lal Holud Aikya you can be assured regarding its authenticity. Has the management taken all the liabilities imposed by the former investors illegally just to play in the ileague? They could have easily taken the case to the court and waited for a proper judgement from there. Is FSDL postponing all the dates just to organise the upcoming ISL with only 10 teams this season? Has the matter been taken up to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of our state just to play the ileague? No they are not! We all want our club to play in the ISL and the management is trying to do anything and everything to make this happen. Now it is upto you to believe Mr.Kushal Das’s latest interview or a handful of media reports.
