However, his observations of India's current footballing situation is spot on
India’s current footballing state
Stephen Constantine gave an honest breakdown of the current situation in Indian football and did not shy away from pointing out the fundamental flaws, “In India, we are not doing what we are supposed to be doing. There are no Indian coaches in the ISL, half in the I-League. We need district leagues and coaches in the district leagues teaching players from the age of five-six-seven, not 16. It’s too late.
“We are 5-6 years behind other Asian teams. We are paying Indian players big money because there is a shortage? Why? Lack of coach education. By the time I was 16 I had played 300 11-a-side games.”
After a successful boycott derby call by all East Bengal fan clubs, club officials have now knocked the door of the corrupt CM and her more corrupted party to try and fill the stands with their cadres. East Bengal fan clubs have boycotted home matches since the last 4 home games in ISL and an empty gallery will be very bad TV for club officials and FSDL.
Players like Jesin TK and Athul are all in turmoil as Bino brought them in and now they are stuck. Hope they play games in Development league and find another club where they would get opportunities.

Athul already made is ISL debut. You wanted to them from Santosh trophy to being ISL regulars, is it? They have the iLeague 2 and RDFL to prove themselves.

Mate, I said the same they need to get minutes under the belt. But consti gives chances to Passi. You know how adamant he is about giving opportunities to deserving players. I just said that they trusted Bino and got screwed. They were def I-League level and could easily have stepped up to ISL sooner. They should move to a club where they can get minutes.
