Could Sean Rooney soon go back to the A-League? No reported bids for him but he seems keen on going back and that could be huge, indirectly, for Indian football. Rooney, honestly, turned out to be just above average during his time in India, a very reliable midfielder who gelled well with his teammates, seemed to have good discipline, and helped Bengaluru FC win two trophies after an earlier, failed, stint with Salgaocar. If Rooney can get into the A-League again then this could mean that other Indian footballers could go up there and challenge themselves.
People on here have said that Sandesh Jhingan for example would not work out in Australia... well... who knows. I consider him to be better than Shayne D'Cunha and perhaps as good, if not better, than Jonathan Aspropotamitis. Of course, only problem now is money. I believe in USD Sandesh Jhingan is about to earn something like $200,000 for the ISL (correct if I am wrong)... probably would never get that in the A-League. $125,000-$150,000 at most.
Oh, and Arthur Papas seems to be doing great as well.
