I agree with @munna21977. I dont see what is amazing by having India in the AFC Champions League qualifiers when we dont stand a chance. AFC Cup should be the main tournament and yes East Asia should be our place. Travel is better, the teams are more friendly to us and we can actually stand a chance.

Sad part is that Dempo will most likely deal with the West Asians and East Bengal wont give a shit.

Dicision from meeting of the AFC Adhoc Committee for Professional Football

1. Passing Gate to the ACL 2013: Passing Mark will be 600 points, Leagues do not meet the criteria will not have direct entry to ACL!

2. Official draw of ACL 2013 group stage will be held on December 6

3. one of the Uzbekistan clubs will be drawn into East Asian zone.

4. each round of the group stage will have three matchday, Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday.

5. both Round of 16, Quarter-Final,Semi-Final and Final matches will be Home-Away Style.

the decisions are To be comfirmed by AFC Executive Committee!

@Ashlesh ; that is interesting. Can you give me a link which says that 2 direct slots and 1 playoff slot. As per my knowledge it should be 1 playoff loser slot and 1 direct AFC cup entry. Playoff loser slot is for I-league champion and 1 direct slot is for Fed cup champion.

According to AFC website, there is a meeting by executive committee to decide on slots for ACL 2013 on 29th November. Only after that they will put up the list of participating clubs for ACL and AFC cup on their official website. Lets see what they decide.
