Today he has not been impressive, except for a couple of moments...but he has still scored 8 goals this season (according to goal.com).
Ya but still. Prayag has some exciting youngsters coming up and Yakubu would just be blocking them (Example: Shankar Oraon). He would do well with one of the promoted teams for next season or a 2nd Division club.

Well, very few 2nd div (even 1st div team) can afford to sign him.
a team with ambitions of top 3 finish can hardly afford to rely upon Indian strikers, with exception of Sunil and Jeje. Infact, these youngsters need to sign lower ambitious clubs to get some playing time.
First half was all Prayag till the goal in the 26th minute but then Salgaocar shot back into it and HT it was 1-0 SSC. All of the second half was all Prayag United as they used there amazing passing to try and break down the defense but they failed to do so. Credit to BOTH defenses for hanging in there. Especially the Salgaocar one. Prayag's defense was bad first half but second half was much, much better.
Prayag will feel unlucky not to get a point today.
PS: Someone get some floodlights in there. The stadium is empty (I am guessing everyone is where the shade is) and the players look so tired.

If he is willing to take a pay cut he can join a 2nd Division team or if he wants to stay in the I-League then join United Sikkim FC when they get promoted. Daniel Bedemi is a good forward but Babatunde John is not I-League material for me. John is like Stanley Cyprian. Good enough to dominate the I-League 2nd Division but is shit in the I-League.
Also Manandeep Singh, Sandesh Gadkari, Victorino Fernandes, CK Vineeth etc are all Indians who can easily come up to a 3rd place team and start for them.
Dempo 40

Dempo still 5 points ahead, still favs unless they screw themselves up at the last moment, unlikely. But Dempo -EB and Dempo -MB are totally the most important matches...expecting exciting matches....potential 6 pointers
Relegation race
HAL 6
Arrows 8 (I know they wont, but just for comparisons)
Chirag kerala 11
MFC 17
Looks like HAL and CUK are doomed. I still want Arrows over last two (which seems possible) so that no one argues that they are in the league unfairly

Mouth watering matches. Dempo - East Bengal and Mohun Bagan - Dempo will be such vital matches. Also I see Pune FC coming up from behind to take the second spot. Subrata will be back next month along with Jeje to stir a late run.

the thing you missed out is churchill brothers who are at 33 with a game less played(against arrows)so cb in front gear compared to kolkatta giants but dempo are now comfortably ahead in the league to win it comfortably.
and what a way to come into comfortable position for mumbai fc... <!-- s:dance: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/eusa/dance.gif" alt=":dance:" title="Dance" /><!-- s:dance: -->

I agree that it will be Dempo as champions but they will have a few losses along that 6 game road. There new "super world cup" signing has not really lit up the league yet.
