Better be Ahmedabad as there is a sports conclave in around Motera Stadium. Don't want Delhi because of 1) Negative image caused due to CWG 2010 2) Pollution and traffic
Ahmedabad Mumbai bulltet train will be easliy completed till that time and hope Ahmedabad Delhi bullet trains also gets completed before 2036.
It should be Delhi. It has best infra and support would be huge for almost all events due to diverse culture & people.
I don't think pollution & traffic is a concern. NCR is a huge region. They can plan few events in Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad etc. Even Agra is near to Delhi. I don't count Noida as it is sister city to Delhi.
Due to corruption, almost any big event in India will have negative publicity. It is not new and CWG 2010 is not an exception. If we exclude Hygiene part, CWG 2010, Delhi is a success event in many aspects.
Instead of spending billions of rupees in Ahmedabad, Gadhinagar & few other nearby places, Indian Govt should upgrade the existing facilities in Delhi & NCR region, invest more in Khleo youth games, setup top class academies for creamy layer & scatter the infrastructure to all tier1 cities.
