Where are we getting the estimated salary of Esqueda as 5 crore (even it is an an approximate amount)? According to Transfermarkt, his market value is around 4.5 crore, but from what members are saying there is no relation between MF and salary
Acosta's salary is probably correct, as various reports claimed at the time of his signing that he was joining for a salary of around 1.3 crore.
Is it possible that a current World Cupper (aged and past his prime maybe, but still bearing the cachet of playing in the WC very recently) gets one-fifth the salary of Esqueda, who is a class act no doubt, but had not been in the best of form before joining EB?
@thebeautifulgame They had to pay Esqueda 5 crore because he had gotten an offer of 4.8 crores from a club in Greece. Original salary was going to be 2.6 crore
@thebeautifulgame I would like to mention Son Min-Chol. I always felt, he was much better than Bilal. But some unknown reasons, he remained criminally underrated.
I remember another Mumbai FC player, Taisuke Matsugae...@deepakc used to rate him very highly and considered him one of the best midfielders plying their trade in India then
I would say Son played even better with Lajong than with Mumbai. I remember, I used to dream about him playing alongside Okpara. They would've complemented each other so so well!
Do you guys remember Kayne Vincent? I would keep him on the same level as Moghrabi.
East Bengal should go for Sardar Azmoun (Iran) who played for his country in the last World Cup and is a prolific scorer in the club football as well as for his national team also. His age is now 24 years.
