Spanish footballer Pablo Rodriguez Aracil has signed up with United Sikkim FC till the remainder of this I-League season. The 27-years old striker joined the United Sikkim squad presently at Shillong to play the return Northeastern I-League derby against Shillong Lajong on February 2,2013.
Since both Sporting Goa and United Sikkim signed a Spanish forward each, that means that 1 player was released.
Rumor has it that Michael Rodrigues is that man out for United Sikkim while for Sporting Goa it may be Keita.
For Sporting it would be the right move if true. Keita is a liability now due to the signing of Angel. Sporting can start Angel, Ogba Kalu, and the Spanish forward and have Seiya come on as a sub to provide attack. Keita is now useless for Sporting. Never providing anything in defense for Sporting (except for goals given away). Sporting and the I-League will be better off without him. Let him weedle through the 2nd Division.
As for United Sikkim... I am not sure if I am okay with getting rid of Rodrigues. Rodrigues was United Sikkim's captain for most of the season but he is 31 now and has looked slow for United Sikkim this season as well. He never really provided much except for experience for United Sikkim as well. This Spanish forward will at least replace the experience with experience and fills up a major gap. Now if United Sikkim can sign that Aussie defender that they are linked to (who was also the 2011 NSW Premier League, the 2nd best league in Australia, Player of the Season) then I can see them staying up. They have the quality and now they could have the Aussie, Steve Hayes in defense, John Landa in midfield, and this Spanish forward, Pablo Rodriguez Aracil and have Salau come off the bench.
United Sikkim will go from starting the season with these 4 foreigners: Yoon Tae, Michael Rodrigues, DG Attivi, and Salau Nuruddin but now they will have Steve Hayes, John Landa, Pablo Rodriguez, and Salau Nuruddin.
Yep, it is now official. Sporting Goa have released Boubacar Keita. The Guinean born defender was replaced by Spanish forward, Juan Francisco García Peña, and today was not seen in the Sporting line-up. Instead Juan Pena was in it as a starter, same with Ogba Kalu and Angel Berlanga (the new Spanish defensive signing) and Seiya Sugishita (on the bench).
Mujtaba Faiz became the second Afghan player to play in the I-League of India. Islam Amiri has joined Mumbai FC two years ago and now he is the captain of the team. Faiz's recruitment is pending to medical check-up.
24 year old Faiz has played for Afghanistan on 3 occasions, but usually he has been a bench player. While he played for Foroozi, he also joined Shaheen Asmayee in the inaugural Afghan Premier League in 2012.
Air India is in a difficult position with 15 points out of 15 matches at 11th position, 2 clear of the relegation zone.
Dont take it! Dempo have Roy Chowdhury. Salgaocar have Karanjit. Churchill Brothers have Nandy.
Colaco would be a bench player at any other Goan club. Not because he is not good enough but because these clubs have guys in place already. Better off playing with Sporting Goa for a few seasons. Develop and don't aim so high so quickly.

even i want him at sporting but if you look the two from above gk karanjit gets lot of boos when he play for salgaocar at duler
second nandy is 38 now Churchill need one gk
but still i feel bruno is better with sporting where he getting more playing time
Nandy is good enough for another 2 years. Colaco would not benefit as much there with the exception of being an understudy to Nandy. Colaco though I believe is past that.
Karanjit, despite Salgaocar's bad form, is not doing bad. In fact from whenever I read about the Salgaocar games it seems that he is the hero in many. Perhaps Colaco could pip him but I doubt it. Unless Salgaocar are planning on releasing Karanjit I dont see it.

We should remember that CB also have Felix who is a good GK. So I am sure it is Dempo. Bcoz Colaco can then boast that he is playing with many Goans.
