Chinese Super league has allowed naturalized players
New rules on ‘naturalised’ Chinese players are also being introduced. Players who were born in China or have Chinese ancestry will not be considered foreign players. Players who have had Chinese citizenship for more than five years or are eligible to play for the Chinese national team are also not considered foreign players.
Hope ISL does this soon, so that there is a small chance of becoming a India qualifying for WC atleast after 10 years (optimistically)....

Anybody who has chinese citizenship or eligible for Chinese national Team - how can they consider them as Foreign players ?
Rule is simple - Get Passport. FIFA mandate means Passport of the country if you want to represent it.
Naturalisation of players like kromah who is willing to take indian citizenship and not running behind pios who doesn't want to give up there European citizenship is the only way to improve football in india, we should scout players in 4th world country's sarch as Sudan, Tanzania etc and bring the best talent to india and naturalize them to play for India as we know Indian genetically are a failed human breed in football except for mutation's. Qatar model is the only solution.
Can give you at least 10 players of Indian genes who made it in football . Maybe they are not Ronaldos and Messis but they are playing or have played at top level. So the genetics excuse is the biggest bullshit I've came across.
Vikash Dhorasoo has Indian origin parents, born in Mauritius. He was a regular for Lyon, PSG and Milan. Also played in the 2006 WC for France but Zidane was the starter in his position.
