Points system is important in any internet Forum. It is a way of acknowledging your contributions by other members. Some recognition needs to be there. It should not be understood that the member with higher points has more knowledge then the one with lower points, everyone is equal.
Just my point of view regarding the new format of the like/dislike/insightful/lol icons...it clearly says the number of icons a member has received for a particular thread but it is not clear which member has clicked which icon in case a member has received different icons for the same post...also it is not clear to me which icons I have received for my post, although I can calculate the total no. of icons I have received for a particular post...according to me, it would be better if we revert to the original format...other members will of course express their points of view

Registration process for new members should be made as simple as possible. Many visitors just visit forum posts but do not join it. Some people think that it is a Closed Group. My suggestion is that we should write it in Bold Letters that this forum is open for everyone and make registration of new members as simple as possible. Dont worry about few spam viagra messages-they get sorted out in few hours as soon as any of the mods look at them. New members is like oxygen for any internet forum / group and we should never restrict and make joining cumbersome. Even if they lose their user name/password-recovery of account should be fast.
Any more suggestions from members on this matter is highly appreciated.
