Earlier most of the players are from TFA, Goa & Kolkata clubs... now the raise of Chandigarh FA, Minerva, BFC, I league representation from N.E, also on top of it, media coverage of ISL attracting players towards ISL..
Looks like Minerva and BFC are running a fairly successful youth development program. Also how is that virtual trial system working for AIFF which was launched around 2017 by Abhishek Das in which any indian player living in India or abroad can send in their football playing video to aiff aebsite and if they like it the said players might be called for trial. Aiff Aeally promoted it strongly at the start. Whats happening with it? Has any player been scouted through that? And hows the Mohan Bagan Academy doing? No good youth player emerging from there?
Both MB and EB have 3-4 academy graduates playing in their CFL teams (one of them, Shubho Ghosh, even scored a goal for MB yesterday). But they shouldn't be judged right now because of the pathetic turf conditions. They can only be evaluated at the fag end of the league.
@mohammed_87hassan : May be you can compile 2 posts from @Bad & @Passi to create an article about u16 team. A good article will give publicity boost to this community
EB academy graduates playing in ISL I-League are Avilash Paul (goalkeeper at ATK, ex Aizwal), Manoj Mohammad, Bidyashagar Singh, Prakash Sarkar, Rohulpuiwa, Mehtab Singh all at EB. Manoj, Prakash and Mehtab all has played I-League last season, and are now part of the regular main squad.
Sridarth was recently signed by BFC. After the Torneo delle Nazioni if I'm not wrong. Before that he played for Sainik School Imphal in the Subroto Cup
