    India U-20 4-1 Mongolia U-20

    India U-20 0-1 Iran U-20

Narrow loss today against Iran who score at 87th min. I watched the highlights again same problem with Indian players. They lose focus and completely forgot to closed down Iranian player giving him acers of space

We next face Laos and probably stand a good chance of making it to final tournament as one of the 2nd best finishers. - Provided we score a lot of goals

  • Even if India wins last match it would be difficult to qualify.  Almost in all groups second placed teams are on huge goal differences, India has to score 6-7 goals and win. Laos would be no pushovers as well

Though we are not Top 5  second best placed team currently, we have a chance because Goals against 5th placed will not be counted since few groups had only 4 teams including our group. But as you said, Loas is not a weak team in youth football.

India U-20 2-0 Laos U-20 FT. As expected we failed to make it to final tournament as one of the 2nd best finishers, all thanks to poor goal conceded against Iran + Awful finishing in all the matches

We had over 20 shots on goal but the players kept shooting to mars. They could have won 8-0 or maybe 10-0 but Indian players in general they just lack IQ in finishing and final third. AIFF/Coaches at all levels should concentrate on these areas else India will always be shit in scoring goals

nothing new with U-19/U-20 team. We never qualified to finals in last 2 decades. I feel, though we haven't qualified , this is our U-20 best performance in last couple of years.

India won U-17 SAFF Championship after defeating Bangladesh in final (2-0). Congratulations boys.

After a barren first half, Mohammed Kaif put India ahead with a beauty of a header in the 58th minute.
Whatever challenges Bangladesh were left with was finished off by Mohammed Arbash in the 90+5 minutes with a stinging left-footer.

I happened to see from 75min onwards and from what I saw, the coach will prove me wrong if we qualify this time

We are grouped with hosts Thailand, Turkmenistan and Brunei. Not sure if we can beat Thailand who lost to Australia in finals of South East Asian championship recently and Turkmenistan will be tricky opponent
