is watching first part neccessary ?
Although film is continuation of the first part, one can go thru wiki of First part and get the gest of the story. Not necessary to see the first part. It has been 36 years and people have forgotten about it.
All the references to first part are well explained in this film.
the postives reviews around Top Gun Maverick and negative reviews for Jurassic World changed my decision to watch it in theaters. Even I watched the 1986 movie Top Gun a day before watching Maverick. Absolutely loved the films. Top Cruise is fantastic. I think those who get to see in IMAX would have enjoyed much more. Its high time Kerala gets an IMAX theatre badly.
