fantastic game yesterday by Portugal who nullified spanish tiki taka game...they pressed well and played at a high tempo.. Spain were unlucky at the fag end as they has the asendency there...

It looks like there are 2 ways to beat a technically gifted team who are good at passing and ball possesion... 1) play with 10 men in front of your goal and hit on teh counter or 2) Play apressing game on a high tempo..

Cant wait to see how Germany and Spain play each other... i am assuming German is wining against Italy...

Your number 2 example is what happens to Arsenal. We try doing our game and when we can it is amazing but most of the time the players just charge at us and make it tough. Then I look at a team like Barca and see them passing but the other team doing nothing till it is to late and bam, Barca scores.
not sure how Germany is going to come back after this ..
HT ... Germany 0 - 2 Italy ... M. Balotelli 20', 36'

After winning Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010, Spain wins the Euro 2012. Winning is one thing, but winning 4-0 in a Euro Final is incredible. The Spanish team, riding on goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata, demolished an Italian side which looked impressive in this tournament. The manner of victory? What else other than the trademark controlled passing game. And thus, tiki-taka prevails!
