Hi @munna219777, sorry for criticising your views (and you) personally, but I strongly disagree with you.
We Indians always complain about corruption and the wrongs in the system but never takes pain in standing up against the wrongs and opposed government’s efforts to improve the system. National sports code has nothing wrong in it. It implies certain clauses on every sports authority of India. Which is good thing considering so many corrupt people (families/ generations) have occupied important positions in such sports bodies. So the National sports code is perfect in its place
Lets go to the second part of the argument - ban from world bodies. We are 75 year old country and we never paid much attention to sports. So all these bad people created their dynasty in these federations and very few people cared and most ignored it. But I think it’s worth to get ban for 1 year to make system straight. Because from example of football you can see that if you ignore these issues it will go on forever. So if you apply sports code now most probably we won’t have to make any drastic changes later and hence court intervention will not require. Note- currently court intervention is required because federations are so corrupt that they will appear international ban rather cleaning the system themselves
Finally, what great things we are going to miss because of FIFA ban: Asia cup - we were not expecting us to win it right? All expectations were round of 16 & good fight at that stage. Why can’t we wait for that for 4 more years? We have been accepting “we will play next World Cup shit since 2018” why can’t we accept this? Regarding u17 World Cup, I don’t mind not hosting it. If our girls get proper exposure (thanks to World Cup preparations) that should propel us to certain extend for next few years.
One last example - our women team has genuine chance of playing in next World Cup.
what happened? Mismanagement happened?
Who’s responsible for it? Nobody f****ing knows what actions taken? F***ing none Who are still protesting against this level of mismanagement? Nobody what now? Wait 4 more years Isn’t this example enough to accept the ban and clean the house? these ba****ds sold whole football rights to FSDL till 2040 for ₹75 crore / some small profit percent per year ( and kept this info hidden). We really need clean house.
I don’t mind one time ban compared to long time b*****t in these federations
In Law school, they teach you to put emotion aside.
They are warned, for example, that anger will blind them to the facts as they really are.
Successful lawyers prize reason and rationality. They suppress or ignore emotions.
Change was needed. Accountability is required but it should have come within the system.
Olympic Charter, FIFA constitution, indepedence of Sports bodies, their constitution is sacrosanct !!
FIFA sent their people and tried to explain this to COA and court people but it all fell on deaf years. So Ban was bound to come.
Instead of trying to follow FIFA suggestions, their representatives saw arrogance that FIFA cannot ban us as India is a big market, court has done enough to not attract ban , PP is trying to ban AIFF. All these points made no sense. Football is not Cricket.
I am not any FSDL or PP supporter by any stretch of imagination.
But Rationality cannot be compromised in legal matters. Keep emotions aside.
Otherwise Ban will stay for a long time. Kuwait introduced a new Bill similar to our Sports Bill in 2015. Kuwait was banned for 2 years by FIFA until they reinstated the old system.
*Government Has moved Supreme Court to move AIFF Daily affairs back to AIFF Administration headed by Sunando Dhar from Monday 22-08-2022.* COA should submit draft constitution. On Tuesday(23-08-2022) COA should be disbanded forever. Union Govt in its application says.
