William Koso from Nagaland has become the state’s first Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘A’ Licensed Coach.
Koso is currently the assistant coach of Aizwal FC, who this year became the only team from the North East to win the I League. This achievement had also made Koso the “only Naga to win I-Leauge and have coaching experience at the top Indian league level,” a press note from the Nagaland Football Coaches Confederation informed.
Koso’s coaching credentials involve having worked at top teams like Royal Wahingdoh FC. In Nagaland state, he was the head coach for Kohima Komets FC, who are a 2nd division I-league team. He also coached Life Sports Football club during the Naga Premier Leauge (NPL) years.
Besides, he is also the first and only AIFF ‘D’ license instructor from the state. AIFF ‘D’ License is the first coaching badge made mandatory by FIFA for professional coaching, which very recently Baichung Bhutia also completed.
Koso is also the first and only Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal level 1 coach for Nagaland. Currently he also serves as Technical Director of the Nagaland Football Coaches Association.
The Supreme Court today (November 11, 2017)
stayed the order of the Delhi High Court allowing all AIFF elected committees
to function on a regular basis.
The Supreme Court also appointed Mr. S.Y.
Qureshi, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, who has also served as
Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India,
and Mr. Bhaskar Ganguly, former Indian Captain and International Football
Player, as the ombudsmen to formulate the AIFF Constitution within eight weeks.
@Deb_Ban Table Tennis Federation of India. Its President is Dushyant Chautala who is MP from Haryana. Many other examples are there. Lodha is possible only in Cricket, not in any sports discipline with IOC or FIFA.
TT or Wrestling Feds didn't attract any lawsuits, which AIFF did. And one of the main planks of the court order is to obey the sports code, for which AIFF even need to alter their constitution. An overhauled AIFF constitution would surely incorporate the features propounded by the sports code. That will ensure we see the backs of the likes of PP.
