Gauhati Town Club (GTC) had started a football academy three years back. They picked 40 youngsters and appointed a Brazilian coach to train the players. After three years, GTC officials have been left red faced as recently 15 players have left the academy and joined another academy in Goa run by a professional club there. The Brazilian coach, who also joined the Goa academy, allegedly took the players with him.

Yay, lets continue a tradition which has done fuck all for Indian football. WO!
What is wrong with Subroto cup? good chance for school boys and to the best of my knowledge doesn't spend AIFF's money. Many footballers at junior level are scouted from here too. I think Bhaichung, Uttam, Shabbir Ali came from this
@Rudra I dont have any complaints about Subroto Cup, it is an amazing tournament that is the building ground for many India internationals and from the promo I saw, very skillful.
What my complaint is, is that we are letting in some European clubs. What is the point? We have done this for other tournaments and it has done nothing.
