Kolkata Premier League team Tollygunge Agragami officially has been taken over by Business house "CHIRAG". The new name would be CHIRAG UNITED FC....Subrata Bhattacharyya will be their Coach. Chirag's target is to play the I league and be in the top 5 within the next five years. They are on a lookout for quality foreign players to add to their squad.
Let us add this club into the list of clubs from Goa and Kolkata who want entry in I-League. I think it is safe to say that this is now over 10.
FUC* CHIRAG. Fuck more clubs from these places (No I am not bashing the area, I love the support and love for football in these 2 places). We dont need more clubs!
Pune FC on thursday confirmed that 30
year old Indo-Japan midfielder Arata
Izumi will be fielded as a registered
Indian player in their squad beginning
this season.
Pune FC meanwhile has extended Arata’s contract by two years. Arata will thus carry on playing until the end of the 2013-14 season. http://www.indiablooms.com/SportsDetailsPage/2012/sportsDetails240812l.php

Honestly I am more surprised by the 2 year contract. WE ACTUALLY DO THOSE IN INDIA!
"Oh you want to go play in Kolkata where there are huge crowds... well ha ha ha, you still have 2 years on your contract. Now go out there and play in front of those 2,000 people".

Well he is 30 years old and he has gotten worse to be quite honest. I mean look at the stats Pune FC gave...
2009-10: 31 games - 13 goals
2010-11: 31 games - 7 goals
2011-12: 26 games - 3 goals
Yes he played 5 less games last season but it is clear to say that he has lost it a little and I think he has knows that as he has been attending coaching camps and coaching kids in Pune. After his 2 year contract (which I expect for him to see out) I think he will retire and go into coaching with Pune FC's Academy.
A lot of people are saying, time for Arata to play for India. I disagree. I think he is just slightly better, and at 30 he will just block a youngster. If this happened 5 yrs back, maybe ok, but now too late.

Clubs go down but Chirag United lives..what a joke they are making of club football. I hope their intentions are good
