    Great news...

Looks like FCbengaluru will sell stake to Sevilla if they can progress to isl....  They may make use of training facilities, player development etc... FC Sevilla says they will share the secret of their success to FCBengaluru united

FC bengaluru united are a professional club, managed by Richard Hood and owned by Manchanda (Son in law of former infosys ceo, md, Shibulal)

Hopefully Bengaluru will be Red soon...

I have seen so may tie ups. This kind of news does not excite me anymore. I will be happy to see more adventures out side India like Bhaichung, Sunil, Subrata, Gurpreet.
Let them play out side of India. In second tier of Middle East, Japan. At this moment no one is competent to play in Europe.
Our young fellows are enjoying comfortable wages, so they will not bother to test themselves in middle east or Japan.
Indian national football team will be like that monkey in math problem trying to climb oiled bamboo post :) One step up two steps down
We IFN fellows are like math students, trying hard to figure out when the monkey will reach the top of oiled bamboo post !

I could never solve the monkey and oiled pole problem in school, but these days I am depressingly confident of India not reaching the top, at least during my lifetime. Simple reason is not having a proper football ecosystem (and not bothering to construct one). Tie ups, among other sops like canned applauses, illuminated fence ads and multiple 3 month leagues are not going to solve the problem anytime soon.

All these tie-ups are useless. They may show that we brought coaches from there and all, but you don't need these tie-ups for that. Good coaches will come even without these. The root cause for Indian players not trying abroad is that they are overpaid. No one wants to take risk, when they can earn much more by even warming benches here. We don't want tie-ups, we want investments. But that will come only if running a club is profitable here.
    I'm a maths student btw  :#

Tie-ups  can help in U-9   to U-18   teams of a club.
Training of coaching staff  in junior football ecosystem, arranging foreign training cum exposure  for age group footballers, improvement of infrastructure  etc

Lot of Indian players are doing good this season but after March we dont know what they are going to do and when they are going to play again. This is the reason why I am not even excited for them

    @ashindia
Now that there is some longer contracts in ISL. I hope these clubs can arrange for like a short 3 month loan so the players will have only 4 months hibernation which is still not good IMO.

Local state leagues like Calcutta, MDFA, Tamil Nadu etc,  Santosh trophy,  AFC Cup / ACL for atleast 3 Franchise, National team camp and games,  cup tournaments like Durand

Opportunities are there  which should be taken by footballers and clubs.

ISL should allow their indian footballers to play in 8 month long off-season !!!!

  • ok. well but i think sevilla should have gone for a non bengaluru club because i dont' see anything derby like situation in bengaluru. bengaluru is not much of fooball fans.
