Is there even any information on Lonestar? Who are they? I understand the want to spread the I-League but for gods sake lets not do it for the sake of doing so.
Judging a team based on an ineffective ranking system is a sham. I rather expect the national team to focus on milestones rather than focus on getting a "Top 100" ranking. No wonder with the best of intentions the koverman's era was a miserable failure.
I rather expect India to look at the immediate goals below :
- Keep persisting on the change of style done but with failure rather than go for hoofball tactics under houghton. Sometimes its not the style of play but rather the players who are a misfit. - Get someone who doesnt have a baggage to coach the current national team, I mean lets face it, the post 2011 generation is fucked, All we can hope for is maintain the same level or improve even slightly so the next generation can take over. - Ensure dominance of SAFF is retained, Thats the most basic step and no compromises on that. - Focus on AFC Challenge & Friendlies against the best of ASEAN region even if you are screwed, We tried to play against Lebanon & palestine and even those teams handover our asses after whipping it. Playing against Myanmar,Singapore, Malaysia & indonesia and keeping pace with them should be the aim. - Get your acts together on the academy, Your U-15 teams are the ones who will play in the U-17 world cup for the first ever time. Time is running and all we see is talk out there, get someone who can give you a boost to youth football there and thats our only hope. - Focus in getting your domestic market right, Rather than be a bigger niche game you are now the centre stage of national attention, Use that and get money in for infra, youth and generally invest on interest. If I-league is still poor in pulling power, Replace that with a bigger league involving ISL. It happens a lot of time in world football,The EPL,MLS, A-league. Tough decisions are needed to kill off weeds.
@DX Agree. Something needs to change come the turn of the calendar to 2015... 2015 needs to be the year Indian football finally starts to progress because this is just turning into a shame.
If you look at AIFF administration, Head of Competition Committee and head of Disciplinary Committee are from Jammu and Kashmir. Those people can explain where this mysterious club Lonestar has come from?
Kashmir FC has not yet launched officially, they will arrange a press interaction after getting confirmation of dates on which i league two starts and in the same event they will unveil their strategy ,plans ,jersey, website facebook page etc
