I don't think that is what he meant. Confederations can invite teams from outside their confederation. South America for example invites Mexico for the Copa America and the Libertadores.

I agree with @ArsenalFan700. They should invite stronger teams such as UAE or Iran or Australia for SAFF Cup. Do you think inviting lower teams such as Seychelles or Mauritius will have a good impact in football standards?

Both the SAFF and ASEAN are corrupt as hell but ASEAN seems to still get better slightly every year... India should look towards ASEAN and somehow find a way to compete in their competitions. If Australia can then so India.
