With so many teams from I-League either getting expelled or closing down.... AIFF can start one Unique I-League from 2017 with just 4 teams Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, BFC & Mumbai FC (Other teams may close down or get expelled by that time by some funny rules). These four team I-League (surely on home and away basis) can have 2 rounds every week and AIFF can finish the entire League in just 3 weeks (in May of course). Then AIFF will have enough time to have even an ISL knock out tournament after the completion of the ISL. From Feb to Apr AIFF officials can engage themselves in calculating the booty. In 2018 AIFF is expelled by FIFA.......and all arguments end for ever.
I think Mumbai fc has a decent setup in this past year as far as youth programs goes.. they can merge with Mumbai city fc with mfc doing the youth section and looking after indian players coming through ranks while MCFC will look at foreigners.. wont be a bad combo
@AKB that is exactly what I have been advocating....let #IMG have agree run....#BFC/MB/EB just need to wait it out on the sidelines for 1 maybe 2 seasons, they will still survive. The ileague however won't, and neither these crooks in office without the govt/fifa grants coming in because we are pretending to be serious about football and domestic league. By staying in the league these clubs are just helping #IMG to finish them off at its own pace.
@Shankar Probably but I think MCFC would want to use their branding on all youth initiatives. Essel Group could come in as a sponsor and MCFC could help contribute to youth development etc.
