Not bad signings Churchill Brothers... not bad at all. Euripedes seems like the best foreigner so far coming straight from the Portugese 1st Division. However he has been a little lacking in terms of games, playing only 44 league games in the last 5 seasons (33 starts). There have been 150 games exactly in that time. <div><br></div><div>I am not saying he will be bad, far from it, but I would not be surprised if he lacks a little fitness. Thankfully the I-League is only a 26 game affair and most players play an average of 20 a season so he should be fine.</div><div><br></div><div>As for Hugo, also not a bad signing. He has played recently in the Portugese 1st Division, Cyprus 1st Division, Azerbaijan League, and Iran Pro League. However I am guessing there was something wrong with him in terms of his fitness. He went from a regular starter in Azerbaijan to just 23 games (14 starts) in 2 seasons in Iran (68 games in that time) while playing for a relegated side.</div><div><br></div><div>So overall, I would still say Dempo lead the way in terms of foreigners. A former Aussie international who was a regular starter in the A-League last season, an okay striker in the A-League, and of course Beto. And they still have room for more.</div><div><br></div><div>Churchill are fine but Henry is getting older (4 less goals last season), and they signed a Japanese midfielder who is probably normal I-League level by now and two Portugese players who may or may not have fitness issues.</div><div><br></div><div>Still, a massive improvement in foreigners. </div>
</span><div><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Exactly. I remember entering wikipedia in 2010 and seeing how every team had at least 3 Nigerians each. All of which were just amateurs. Before that I hear it was worse. Now we are signing professionals which can only be taken as good news.</span></div>
Pune FC's new signing Jovel Martins could be in trouble after Sporting Clube de Goa claimed the winger has an existing contract and has even taken an advance for this season.

@Ashlesh Euripedes Amoreirinha is a center back and Hugo Machado a midfielder so there is stil room for CB to sign a stricker.
