Penn is out of EB for sure. He also wanted a pay increase mid season. If TJM actualy resigns then penn is also out.
  • <P>Penns performance mid season has been horrible. In the ONGC match and Mumbai FC match, both which EB lost,he was a spectator. Those two easy matches if EB had won, they would have won Ileague by now</P>

Penn is another one who age is catching up with :<div><br></div><div>he claims to be anywhere between 22 ( registered age this year , hence quoted by Ten Action commentator) or 28 (wikipedia) .</div><div>Given he played 3 seasons for East bengal</div><div>1 season for JCT</div><div>1 season for BMFC ( 2nd Division)</div><div>and was hovering around Kolkata pick-up games before that... its easy to assume that he is cannot be 22.</div><div><br></div><div>I'd guess he's closing in on 40 and hence not able to maintain the work rate he was known for 3-4 years ago.</div><div><br></div><div>Sad thing is 35-40 yr olds can still play & be successful in Indian football !</div><div><br></div><div>Clubs are looking to pick up Dempo's discards </div><div>Debabrata & Subhashish heading to Prayag</div><div><br></div><div>Peter Carvalho, Climax , Cifford all on the way out too..</div><div>Samir Naik & Mahesh Gawli might retire ,but would be tempted for 1 more year if they get a good offer elsewhere (maybe Mumbai Tigers) </div>

Rumor - EB officials are waiting for TJM's final word to recrut new players or release any existing players.

Except 2-3 indian and 1 big foreign signing not mutch changing in EB.
  • AIFF should do Bone test to find real age of players. Right now it is done only on junior players but why not on seniors??<br>

only airlines cup (due to blessings of MD SPORTING) since last 4 yrs.<br><br>ITS  A grt shame for MB!!!!!!!<br>
<div><br></div><div>U and me can be ashamed, but certainly not the 3 jokers! Tell me anything worthwhile they have done in the last 4/5 years that they deserve to even come to MB ground and premise - leave alone holding these responsible positions! Forget about winning a national level laurel, they haven't even been able to do anything constructive which may have long term bearing in the club functioning or football in general....anything visionary. Only "worthwhile" thing they have done is probably unofficially sponsoring the winners/runners up prize money for this year's I  League by way of footing a hefty fine!!!!</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>You can bone test (MRI's ) with accuracy for  junior ages ( accuracy of +/- 1 year )</div><div><br></div><div>Its a lot easier to tell if someone is pretending to be Under 16 when they are not ( radial bones, fused at wrist )</div><div>whether they are pretending to be Under-19 ( something to do with the two bones fusing at the elbow joint)</div><div><br></div><div>at Under-21 or U-23 ( not 100% sure ) they check something to do with the thickness of the clavicle</div><div><br></div><div>after that it gets tricky and cannot be ascertained with any conclusive proof or the tests that might be there are very expensive.</div><div><br></div><div>Even Premier league clubs have been hoodwinked by African players ( the Senegal team from 2002 world cup ! , e.g. El Hadj Diouf and a few others from that team)</div>
  • El Hadj was never accused though.
